With the success of our two builds in Colorado, Community Rebuilds decided to continue its efforts to provide affordable housing to the workforce of this region by launching a pilot program in Bluff, Utah. Construction of our single-story straw bale home was completed in 2018.

With the Bears Ears National Monument, Countless Archeological Sites, and San Juan River located right outside Bluff's city limits, San Juan County, UT is becoming an increasingly desirable place to visit. With more and more people buying property and using that property as second homes or short term rentals, the imbalance in supply and demand has made it challenging to find a home on the market for a price that is reasonable for the people who actually live and work in Bluff. Making Homeownership nearly impossible for members of the community.
